Egomane, Neurotiker, Tyrann – viele Etiketten wurden Billy Corgan (40) angehängt. Sicher ist, dass er mit den “Smashing Pumpkins” eine der prägendsten Bands des Alternative Rock anführt. Nur selten tritt der Gitarrist und Songschreiber vor TV-Kameras. Für seinen Helden Uli Jon Roth (53) macht er eine Ausnahme. Roth verließ seine Band “Scorpions”, kurz bevor sie zu kommerziellem Erfolg kam, um sich experimentellen Klängen zu widmen. Corgan hingegen hat seine Band gerade wieder erfolgreich reformiert.”
